St George's Day 2007, saw the launch of our NEW Medieval Food Nights.
Finger-licking food crusade style was on offer, be it lamb chops, pork cutlets or oven-baked chicken drumsticks served with hot roasted spuds. And to drink? Flagons of our finest ale was served up by our very own serving wenches, authentic to the fullest...in a nice way of course!
The event began at 12 noon through until 10.30 pm. Entertainment included gory Tales from the Trip courtesy of the Nottingham Storytellers; Medieval games such as ‘Ringing the Bull’, and musical melodies from our very own lute player!
The Sherriff of Nottingham officially opened the event at 8 pm.
The next one takes place on Monday, July 21st. Booking is recommended to guarantee a seat. No cutlery is involved...just make sure your hands are clean, as you’ll be eating using your fingers in true Medieval fashion!
Prices are as follows:
£7.50 Salver meal
£9.50 Salver meal and a pint of Trip Ale
£17.50 Salver meal and a pint of Trip Ale in you very own Olde Trip Tankard
